Job summary

General Motors in Michigan is seeking a System Integration Validation Engineer (SIVE) to lead end-to-end validation of Power Modeling and Vehicle State systems within Access and Security domains across programs and regions.

You will translate requirements into test plans, manage evidence, run bench, HIL/SIL, and vehicle tests, and collaborate across functions to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory readiness for launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer, Systems, or related discipline).
• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience in vehicle systems, validation, integration, testing, or closely related work.
• Foundational knowledge of vehicle systems, interfaces, and failure modes.
• Hands-on experience with system- or feature-level testing on benches and / or vehicles.
• Ability to plan and execute tests, capture results, and compare outcomes to requirements or acceptance criteria.
• Exposure to issue management and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to work under general guidance while exercising independent judgment on standard tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Translate feature or system intent into testable objectives and executable test cases.
• Develop and maintain ADV plans and traceability to requirements and evidence.
• Plan, schedule, and execute validation tests across benches, HIL/SIL, and vehicles.
• Maintain readiness documentation and ensure compliance with regulation and readiness targets.
• Identify, document, and drive closure of integration issues and support launch readiness.
• Collaborate across systems engineering, safety, software, calibration, validation, and release teams.
