Job Description At General Motors, our product teams are redefining mobility. Through a human-centered design process, we create vehicles and experiences that are designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard —from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features. Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale.
The System Integration Validation Engineer (SIVE) supports end-to-end integration and validation of Power Moding and Vehicle State systems within Access and Security domain across programs, architecture variants, and global regions. This role owns validation readiness for assigned scope, including validation strategy, ADV plan content, execution planning, issue tracking, and evidence closure, to support functionality, performance, safety, quality, customer experience, and FMVSS compliance through launch. The SIVE builds system-level understanding of feature behavior, interfaces, variants, and failure modes; plans and executes analysis and testing across benches, HIL/SIL as applicable, virtual environments, and vehicles; and troubleshoots vehicle-level integration issues across hardware, software, calibration, networking, wiring, diagnostics, and system interactions. The role applies sound judgment within established procedures, handles standard and moderately complex issues independently, collaborates across functions to resolve non-routine problems, and communicates readiness, risks, and evidence clearly to support program objectives and launch success.
