Job summary

General Motors in the United States is seeking a Program Validation & Safety Engineer (PVSE) to join our Global Product Validation Team. You will drive data-driven validation, build dashboards, and optimize processes to ensure regulatory compliance and safety.

Work with Jira, Power BI, Python, and cloud analytics to deliver actionable insights, support DVUL, and sign PVCL with confidence. Hybrid work model and opportunities to impact vehicle programs at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a technical, data analysis, or validation role.
• High proficiency in Jira (workflow creation, board management) and Power BI (dashboard development, data modeling).
• Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis, automation, or scripting.
• Experience with spreadsheet and collaboration tools such as Excel and Google Sheets to integrate, cleanse, and transform data from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize validation KPI dashboards (Power BI, Maxis) to track Program Validation metrics and VDC readiness.
• Use Python and Databricks to automate data pipelines, perform advanced analytics, and enable AI-assisted insights.
• Build and maintain Google Sheets-based tools for rapid analysis and easy sharing of validation data.
• Serve as the primary process admin for Jira workflows, Kanban boards, and 30-60-90-day lookahead templates.
• Lead the development of validation standard work, training materials, and process cheat sheets.
