Job summary

General Motors is seeking a SiL SIE (Software-in-the-Loop Simulation Integration Engineer) to lead virtual engineering efforts across vehicle development. You will coordinate cross-functional teams including PE, VMEC, EPSI, Calibration, and Hardware Development to deliver full-vehicle co-simulation environments.

The role requires strong hardware/software integration, virtualization passion, and the ability to manage diverse technical and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in engineering or related field.
• Experience with large, ambiguous projects preferred.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify requirements, schedule, and deploy simulation projects for virtual vehicle design and validation.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for on-time delivery of simulation components.
• Integrate plant and ECU models with controller software for CoSimulations.
• Develop and test virtual controller models across HWIO, RTOS, and I/O.
• Perform simulation correlation using experimental data.
• Create and maintain standard simulation architectures.
• Support released simulations with documentation and troubleshooting.
• Design and execute automated test suites.
• Benchmark next-generation simulation tech and tools.
• Standardize new simulation development processes in engineering.
• Provide process and architecture feedback.
