Job summary

TeamHealth seeks a flexible part-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-C) or Psych PA-C to join a clinician-led team in Rocky Top, TN. The role blends onsite and virtual care days, performing psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for older adults in inpatient and post-acute settings.

You will have clinical autonomy with strong organizational support, a comprehensive benefits package, and biweekly uncapped compensation.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Tennessee license as a PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C.
• Active DEA or willingness to obtain.
• 1 year experience needed as a PMHNP or Psych PA.
• Experience with inpatient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations.
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
• Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns.
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings.
