Job summary

RigUp is seeking a People Operations Coordinator in Austin, TX (Hybrid) to serve as a key contact for employees and field workers, manage HR data, and support People processes. You'll help with onboarding/offboarding, benefits enrollment, and maintain personnel records as part of a fast-paced People team.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in HR or related fields, strong communication skills, and a meticulous, proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years in HR, People Operations, recruiting coordination, employee support, or related field is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
• Comfortable working with systems, processes, and data.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for employee and field worker questions, helping resolve issues or connecting them with the right People Team partner.
• Communicate directly with employees and field workers by phone and email to understand questions, gather information, and determine next steps.
• Process employee changes and maintain accurate records in Paylocity, including job, title, and compensation updates.
• Prepare employment documentation and maintain personnel files and other People Operations records.
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including background checks, pre-employment requirements, benefits enrollment, and new hire coordination.
• Help employees navigate benefits, qualifying life events, and leave of absence processes.
• Coordinate candidate communications, interview scheduling, offer processes, and other recruiting activities.
• Maintain People Team templates, guides, FAQs, and process documentation.
• Conduct audits and help identify opportunities to improve processes and the employee experience.
