Job summary

SCP Post Acute Services, LLC in Chicago, IL is hiring a Payroll Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis with a hybrid schedule.

You will process bi-weekly and monthly payroll using Paylocity, handle direct deposits and tax filings, collaborate with HR, and support audits and month-end close.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of multi-state payroll and W-2s.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting preferred.
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Payroll tax filing: Federal, state, local, unemployment.
• Multi-state payroll and W-2 experience.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with Paylocity payroll system.
• Experience with Sage Intacct ERP is a plus.
• CPA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly & monthly payroll using Paylocity for all employees.
• Serve as the payroll and time tracking system owner; be primary contact for questions.
• Generate direct deposits, checks, reissues, and stop payments; respond to questions.
• Ensure correct state and local taxation for all employees.
• Collaborate with HR to maintain payroll data; improve processes.
• Prepare annual W-2s and assist with audits and month-end close.
• Prepare payroll reports and GL interfaces, meet deadlines.
• Support payroll system improvements and acquisitions.
