Aston Carter is seeking a Payroll Administrator for a contract-to-hire hybrid role based in Minneapolis, MN. You will ensure accurate weekly payroll for a large multi-state workforce, reconciling timecards and liaising with project teams.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3+ years payroll, strong Excel skills, and experience handling multi-state payroll, deadlines, and inquiries via phone and email. The position offers growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an associate degree with 3+ years payroll experience.
• End-to-end payroll processing experience, weekly cycles.
• Strong multi-state payroll experience across many states.

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile project timecards prior to weekly pay run to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and process weekly payroll with accurate data entry and generation of reports.
• Prepare and issue daily off-cycle checks, including retroactive pay, per policy and timelines.
• Research and resolve payroll inquiries from team members via phone and email with clear responses.
• Act as payroll team liaison for project teams, ensuring effective communication on payroll matters.
• Complete unemployment earnings requests accurately and on time.
• Set up new payroll team members in the system and process updates/terminations.
