The position is hybrid with two in-office days weekly, offering guidance to a payroll team and opportunities to mentor colleagues while handling complex tax and compliance tasks.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years payroll processing experience required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of wage and hour laws, garnishment laws, and taxability of wages.
• Hybrid role with 2 days a week in Minnetonka office.
• Experience in multi-state payroll for US non-exempt and exempt employees.
• Strong Excel skills (V-lookups, pivot tables, formulas).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily, biweekly, and special payroll processes for multi-state payroll.
• Process payroll for up to 500 employees.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports.
• Maintain payroll control records.
• Provide guidance to the team on payroll processing and tax laws.
• Mentor payroll specialists and act as backup for duties.
• Assist with escalated employee inquiries and complex payroll transactions.
• Support month/quarter/year-end close and related verifications.
