Aston Carter is hiring a Payroll Administrator in Minneapolis for a hybrid role supporting a large, multi-state workforce. You will ensure accurate weekly payroll processing, reconcile timecards, and serve as a liaison between payroll and project teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or an associate with 3+ years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to handle high-volume payroll across states. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an associate degree with 3+ years payroll experience.
• Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing and weekly cycles.
• Strong multi-state payroll experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (data views, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Experience in large employee populations in centralized payroll environments.
• Ability to meet time-sensitive payroll deadlines with accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication for payroll inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile project timecards before the weekly pay run.
• Prepare and process weekly payroll and generate required reports.
• Issue daily off-cycle checks including retroactive pay.
• Respond to payroll inquiries via phone and email.
• Serve as payroll team liaison for project teams.
