Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a detail-oriented Certified Payroll Specialist for a long-term contract in the South Denver Metro Area. The hybrid role combines onsite two days per week with remote work three days per week, offering up to $40/hour and an ASAP start.

The position supports specialized payroll processes, including potential training on Certified Payroll or Prevailing Wage reporting. Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of payroll experience and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Strong understanding of payroll fundamentals and payroll compliance.
• Certified Payroll and/or Prevailing Wage experience preferred but not required.
• Quick learner with strong problem-solving and research skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsabilités

• Assist with Certified Payroll and Prevailing Wage reporting requirements.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, questions, and issues.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Communicate updates, timelines, and progress with internal team members.
• Support payroll audits and reporting activities as needed.
• Learn and follow company-specific payroll procedures and workflows.
• Collaborate with team members to meet payroll deadlines.
