Job summary

HRforGrowth is recruiting a Payroll Manager for a client in Brooklyn, NY. This full-time onsite/hybrid role oversees payroll for salaried, hourly, and grant-funded staff, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of payroll experience, with strong knowledge of wage laws and experience with UKG Ready. Competitive compensation and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years of payroll administration experience, preferably nonprofit or multi-site.
• Experience managing payroll for grant-funded employees is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and compliance.
• Proficiency with payroll systems, especially UKG Ready.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for salaried, hourly, and grant-funded employees.
• Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with laws and policies.
• Review payroll registers, tax filings, and wage payments prior to processing.
• Maintain payroll calendars, year-end requirements, and data integrity.
