Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 3–5 years payroll administration experience, preferably in nonprofit or multi-site.
• Experience handling payroll for grant-funded employees.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, taxes, and wage and hour requirements.
• Proficiency with UKG Ready payroll system.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for salaried, hourly, and grant-funded staff.
• Ensure timely, accurate payroll in compliance with applicable laws and policies.
• Review payroll registers, tax filings, and wage payments before submission.
• Maintain payroll calendars, including pay periods and year-end processing.
• Coordinate payroll tax filings and year-end forms (W-2s, 1099s).
• Reconcile payroll accounts with Finance and assist with GL postings.
• Support system upgrades, testing, and process improvements.
• Serve as primary contact for payroll inquiries from staff and managers.
• Collaborate with HR on onboarding, offboarding, and status changes.
