Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Payroll & HR Generalist for a hybrid role combining remote work with in-office collaboration at our Kentucky manufacturing client. You will manage multi-site payroll and benefits administration while serving as a key HR contact, ensuring regulatory compliance and a positive work environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in manufacturing HR/payroll, with in-office three days per week, plus benefits including medical/dental/vision, bonus, 401k, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in multi-site payroll management and benefits administration.
• In-depth knowledge of COBRA regulations and the open enrollment process.
• Familiarity with HR software and payroll systems.
• Strong understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire payroll process for multiple sites, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Oversee benefits administration, including employee enrollments, terminations, and changes to benefits, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Coordinate the open enrollment process, providing necessary information and support to employees.
• Manage COBRA administration, ensuring all eligible employees are offered coverage as required by law.
• Maintain relationships with benefit providers and ensure timely updates to carriers as needed.
• Respond to HR-related inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy.
• Support the management team in handling performance management, discipline, and termination procedures.
• Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records.
