Job summary

Lakefield Veterinary Group in Kent, Washington, is seeking a Payroll Coordinator for a part-time, hybrid role (3 days in office). You will support all aspects of payroll processing, including timesheets, commissions, and bonuses, while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of payroll experience, is proficient with ADP Workforce Now, and demonstrates strong attention to detail, communication, and customer service.

• 1–2 years of payroll processing or related experience.
• At least 1 year of experience using ADP Workforce Now.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn and contribute to process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Payroll Team and Payroll Manager to support all aspects of payroll processing, from timesheet review through final payment, including commissions and bonuses.
• Collect, review, and maintain payroll documentation to ensure accurate payments, appropriate withholdings, and compliance with established controls.
• Research and resolve payroll inquiries, including paycheck discrepancies, timekeeping issues, and PTO questions.
• Develop strong proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate processes, and improve the employee experience.
• Assist the Payroll Manager with the accurate and timely processing of garnishments and medical support orders.
• Provide timely, professional, and helpful support to employees and managers across all locations.
• Collaborate with Payroll and People & Culture team members to support accurate recordkeeping and consistent payroll practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
