Job summary

The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of payroll experience, an associate or bachelor's degree in business or accounting, and strong knowledge of tax laws.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of progressive payroll experience required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred.
• Workday processing and reporting experience preferred.
• Proven experience in payroll in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws in a multi-state employment environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Updates payroll records by approving self-service changes within Workday.
• Pulls hours in Time and Attendance system and enters data for Bi-weekly processing.
• Processes stipends and other employee incentives and ad-hoc payments.
• Balances bi-weekly payroll reconciliation worksheet and reports.
• Prepares reports and queries for internal business partners.
• Monitors Payroll Helpdesk for assigned tasks and employees.
• Works with HR and Benefits to resolve payroll issues.
• Interprets policy in processing payroll-related transactions.
• Performs other duties; reports to the Workday Payroll and Finance Analyst.
