Job summary

BRAINS WORKGROUP, INC. is assisting a major bank in New York City by hiring a Payment Platform Implementation Engineer. This hybrid role requires 2–3 days in the office and offers exposure to critical payment processing and settlement platforms.

You will design, build, and support scalable Java-based services, APIs, and data workflows across SWIFT, FED, ACH and other channels, with strong controls and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on STP payment solutions experience required.
• Strong Java development with APIs, microservices, scripting.
• Experience with payment platforms and banking tech environments preferred.
• Eligibility to work in local market.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Java-based applications for payment processing.
• Build and integrate APIs, microservices, and event-driven components.
• Develop automation scripts for deployment and monitoring.
• Design and optimize relational databases for payments.
• Collaborate with business, risk, compliance, and IT teams.
• Support testing, reviews, release management, and production readiness.
