Job summary

Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. seeks a Payment Platform Implementation Engineer in the United States to design, build, and support scalable payment processing, settlement, and transaction banking platforms across SWIFT, FED, ACH and other channels.

You will partner with business, operations, product, and technology teams to deliver secure, resilient applications with strong controls and traceability, plus automation, data analysis and production support for ongoing modernization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with payment STP solutions including initiation, validation, routing, settlement, and status reporting.
• Strong Java development experience with APIs, microservices, scripting, and production-grade support.
• Experience with payment platforms, financial messaging, and banking tech environments preferred.
• Eligibility to work in the local market.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications for payment processing and settlement.
• Build and integrate APIs, microservices, and event-driven components for payment orchestration.
• Develop automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Query and optimize relational databases supporting payment transactions and settlements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate domain requirements into secure, traceable solutions.
• Support testing, code reviews, release management, and production readiness for high availability.
