Job summary

Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. is seeking a Payment Platform Implementation Engineer in New York to design, build, and support scalable payment processing, settlement, and transaction banking platforms across SWIFT, FED, ACH and other channels.

You will partner with business, operations, product, and technology teams to deliver secure, resilient applications with strong controls and traceability for high‑value payments and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• Hands-on STP payments experience (initiation, validation, routing, settlement).
• Strong Java with APIs, microservices, scripting, databases, production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications for payment processing.
• Build and integrate APIs, microservices, and event-driven components.
• Develop scripts for deployment, data analysis, monitoring, and production support.
• Design, query, and optimize relational databases for transactions and settlement.
• Collaborate with analysts, operations, risk, compliance, infra, and vendors.
• Support testing, code reviews, release management, and production readiness.
