Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, based in Seattle, seeks a Patient Services Representative to be the first contact for patients and families. The role includes check-in, intake support, and routing calls to the appropriate department, with a mix of campus and remote work.

Hours are 1.0 FTE, Monday–Friday, 6:45am–3:15pm. Prior experience in customer service and strong communication are required; healthcare familiarity is preferred. Benefits are comprehensive.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year experience in a customer service environment.
• Ability to work in a fast paced healthcare setting.
• Strong time management and independent task handling.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen patients, check them in using an automated system.
• Distribute and collect appropriate forms for patients and staff.
• Triages questions from callers and routes to the right staff.
• Handle general clerical tasks including mail and supplies.
• Activate provider orders and assist with scheduling as directed.
• Coordinate patient flow and verify demographics and information.
