Job summary

Dermatology Consultants PC in Minnesota is seeking a Patient Account Representative (PAR) to join the revenue cycle team in a hybrid work setting. This role focuses on daily tasks including patient account resolution, charge entry, denials and insurance follow-up, and payment application for multiple payers.

The PAR serves as a patient advocate by answering billing questions regarding insurance payments and co-payments.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Excel.
• High attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
• Strong technology skills including MS Office, fax, copier, printer.
• Ability to use fingers/hands for data entry and phone work up to 8 hours daily.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisor, clinical staff, and providers.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient account resolution and charge entry.
• Process insurance denials, file appeals and remit postings.
• Post payments and verify insurance eligibility.
• Answer billing questions and provide patient-centered service.
• Collaborate with providers and staff on revenue cycle issues.
