Job summary

Guidehouse in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to support a hybrid schedule, with two days in the office and three days remote. You will handle remote patient registration, census reconciliation, and insurance verification to ensure accurate billing data.

You will also manage hold codes, respond to provider and medical records requests, and support daily team huddles with performance reporting. This role requires strong data accuracy and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or 3 years of relevant equivalent in lieu of diploma/GED.
• 0-2+ years relevant healthcare experience with knowledge of billing and collections, medical insurance claims procedures and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Register patients remotely and in the Lewisville, TX office.
• Perform census reconciliation between hospital and patient registration data.
• Verify insurance coverage and map correct plan codes to insurance types.
• Place holds on encounters pending follow up.
• Handle electronic communications from providers and Medical Records requests.
