Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Background in Social Work, Counseling, Pharmacy, Nursing and/or Office Practice Management.
• 1+ years experience in patient services and/or healthcare industry.
• Active knowledge of oncology product reimbursement (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial).
• Understanding of the healthcare payer landscape (private and government).
• Empathetic listening with emotional intelligence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in CRM platforms (Salesforce).
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
• 11-8pm EST Shift - Hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Act as the dedicated point of contact for patients and providers to navigate insurance coverage and access to medication.
• Navigate patients and offices through insurance coverage including verifications and prior authorizations.
• Evaluate and refer patients to financial assistance programs.
• Provide high quality case management including documenting needs and communicating with care team.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders along the patient journey.
• Provide information to Case Management Supervisor and Head of Call Center about market landscape and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Field Teams to ensure seamless handoffs when needed.
• Coordinate services among the patient’s care team to start and continue therapy as ordered.
• Maintain high performance and quality in all interactions.
