Qualifications

• HS Diploma Required.
• NAHAM certification within one year of hire.
• Basic MS Word & MS Excel.
• Customer service and organizational skills.
• Associate's degree Preferred with 6 months job-related experience.

Responsabilités

• Schedule patients for hospital or medical group services via phone, online requests, or outbound calls.
• Coordinate referrals to NHMP practices and external providers to promote in-system retention.
• Provide excellent customer service to physician offices and patients; reduce abandoned calls; verify orders for compliance and accuracy.
• Perform insurance eligibility verification and collect patient liability estimates using the estimation tool.
• Request authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals; follow up with payers to ensure authorization and payment.
• Conduct pre-registration with demographic verification and insurance benefits; refer financially challenged patients to Financial Counseling.
• Safeguard patient confidentiality and comply with guidelines; perform other duties as assigned.
