Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• Minimum of 2-year job-related experience.
• NAHAM certification within one year of hire.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
• Associates Degree preferred with 6 months job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for hospital or medical group services by phone, online requests, or outbound calls.
• Work within the central referral management system to schedule referrals to NHMP practices and external providers as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to physician offices and patients and reduce call metrics.
• Verify insurance eligibility and calculate patient liabilities using the estimation tool.
• Initiate authorizations and pre-certifications, follow up with payers to ensure approvals.
