Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare team at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, LA. The RD will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and enhance quality of life aligned with residents’ goals.

The role is scheduled 16-20 hours per week, with 1–1.5 on-site days and 1 remote day, serving NRMC and Courtyard of Natchitoches Nursing Home.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024).
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.
• Nice-to-haves:Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
