Elior North America is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare team at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, LA. This role identifies and assesses nutritional needs, initiates interventions, and aims to enhance quality of life aligned with residents’ goals.

The position is 16-20 hours per week, 1-1.5 days on-site and 1 day remote, covering NRMC and the connected Courtyard of Natchitoches Nursing Home.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.
• Nice-to-haves:Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Responsabilités

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in the development, review, and revision of quality improvement programs.
