Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare team at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Louisiana, with a hybrid on-site/remote schedule.

You will identify nutritional needs, initiate interventions to maintain status, and educate patients, residents, and staff while aligning with DIETETICS standards.

The 16-20 hour weekly role covers NRMC and the connected Courtyard of Natchitoches Nursing Home; compensation is $30.00-$35.00 per hour, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition is required.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field is required.
• Passed a national exam administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
