Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (Con Edison) is seeking a Part-Time Customer Service Rep who is bilingual in English and at least one of Polish, Russian, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean or Spanish. The role involves handling customer inquiries, bill explanations, and emergencies from a call center environment.

The position offers hybrid work with training at multiple locations. A High School Diploma or GED is required and bilingual candidates will take a language test.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Polish, Russian, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean and/or Spanish.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to use PC-based systems to access and analyze customer data.

Responsibilities

• Answer multiple calls and assist customers with inquiries including electric and gas emergencies and billing explanations.
• Use computer systems to access customer accounts and input transactions.
• Analyze accounts to address billing inquiries and provide accurate information.
• Work part-time with a hybrid schedule that may change over time.
• Attend part-time training at various locations.
