Job summary

Winebow is seeking a part-time accounts payable assistant for a 90–120 day assignment in Virginia. Hybrid work arrangement, pay rate $26.00–$30.00 per hour, with less than 30 hours per week. You will manage vendor invoices, upload and verify documents, and ensure timely payments.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years in accounting/payables, strong Excel, and solid multitasking and teamwork abilities. This role supports a collaborative finance team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting/payables experience preferred.
• Intermediate Excel knowledge required.
• Ability to multi-task and work with minimal direction.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Manage a shared email box for vendor invoices and ensure timely processing.
• Upload invoices and credit memos to the National Sales Portal and route for approval and coding.
• Verify invoice amounts against documented copies and approved POs.
• Match invoices to approved purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Ensure timely payment within vendor terms and reconcile statements.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and generate weekly payment registers.
• Issue check and EFT payments; maintain aging reports and distribute bi-weekly aging reports.
