Job summary

Winebow in Glen Allen, VA is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support the monthly close, reconcile accounts, and perform variance analysis in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, a CPA license, and 3–5 years in public accounting. You will ensure GAAP compliance, assist with financial statements, audit schedules, and ad hoc reporting for internal and external users.

In addition to those factors, we consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvide accounting support for the monthly financial closing process to include: account reconciliation for accurate reporting, departmental financial review and variance analysis, budget monitoring, journal entry preparation and/or review.Ensure corporate reporting alignment with U.S. GAAP and industry compliance standards.Provide input for internal control enhancements and process efficiencies.Review monthly reconciliations and analysis prepared by staff accountants.Assist in the preparation and review of monthly and annual corporate financial statements.Assist with the preparation of audit support schedules for external auditors.Completes special projects as necessary.Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.Prepares ad hoc reports to provide requested information to internal and external customers.OTHER FUNCTIONSFollows all safety policies and procedures; communicates hazards and/or suggests improvements to manager.Performs additional duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related degreeCPA license required3-5 years experience in public accounting, auditing preferredStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly ExcelDemonstrated effective verbal and written communication skillsWORKING CONDITIONSThis position is located in the corporate headquarters in Glen Allen, VA.
