LANWT seeks a dynamic, self-motivated paralegal to join its team in Lubbock, Texas. Under attorney supervision, you will support civil matters, manage caseloads, handle intake, document drafting and e-filing, and collaborate with attorneys and community partners.

The role offers hybrid work, a pathway to public interest law, and opportunities to develop expertise across housing, family, and benefits law while serving low-income clients.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and paralegal certification preferred.
• Spanish fluency (verbal and written) preferred.
• Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide paraprofessional legal assistance to eligible clients in civil matters under attorney supervision.
• Manage designated matters as primary case handler when assigned.
• Conduct client intake, screening, referrals, and maintain electronic case files.
• Draft pleadings, orders, and other documents; coordinate hearings and communicate with courts and clients.
