Astellas is seeking a Market Development Manager to lead advocacy with key thought leaders in Retina, Comprehensive Ophthalmology, and Optometry. This field-based role will travel throughout the US, collaborating with Sales, Field Medical, Field Reimbursement, and Marketing to support Izervay and GA therapies.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in pharma/biotech, a science or business degree, strong clinical acumen, and leadership ability. Hybrid work is available with extensive travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or business-related field is required.
• 8+ years in the pharmaceutical/biotech industries with leadership experience.
• Strong clinical acumen and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute plans to increase advocacy among thought leaders in Retina, ophthalmology, and optometry.
• Represent the company at ophthalmology conferences and customer engagements.
• Gather customer insights and feed them to brand strategy and market access teams.
• Demonstrate disease-state and product knowledge in ophthalmology settings.
• Collaborate with Sales, Field Medical and Reimbursement to strengthen relationships with leaders.
