Job summary

The Jacobson Group seeks an innovative Operations Specialist to join our client's optimization and transformation team in a hybrid work environment. This role is critical in driving operational excellence by collaborating with various business units including operations, underwriting, sales and claims.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in insurance operations with a focus on process improvement or redesign.
• Experience designing or implementing operating model transformations.
• Ability to analyze and document complex cross-functional processes.
• Experience with process cost analysis, capacity planning and resource modeling.
• Track record of partnering with stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
• Strong project management skills across multiple workstreams.
• Experience with platform migrations, automation or digital transformation projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Visio, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Word.
• Knowledge of automation technologies such as RPA and workflow automation.
• Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and organizational design frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured discovery sessions with stakeholders to understand processes and dependencies.
• Lead operational analysis to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
• Document current and future operating models using process maps.
• Serve as a continuous process partner for operational excellence.
• Build trusted relationships with operational teams to support improvements.
• Perform gap analyses comparing capabilities with targets.
• Develop reports, executive summaries, and strategic assessments for leadership.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align transformation initiatives.
• Design future-state operating models optimizing structure, process flow, and resources.
• Lead efforts to standardize processes and identify automation opportunities including RPA.
• Support platform migrations and digital transformation through requirements gathering.
• Present findings to senior leadership and facilitate change management.
• Create process documentation, visual models and roadmaps for transitions.
• Manage multiple projects from planning to delivery, tracking risks.
