Job summary

The Jacobson Group seeks an Operations Specialist to join its optimization and transformation team in a hybrid work environment. You will collaborate with operations, underwriting, sales and claims to discover improvements, design future-state operating models and support platform migrations and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in insurance operations with a focus on process improvement or redesign.
• Demonstrated experience designing or implementing operating model transformations.
• Proven ability to analyze and document complex cross-functional processes.
• Experience with process cost analysis, capacity planning and resource modeling.
• Track record of serving as a trusted business partner supporting strategic initiatives.
• Strong project management skills managing multiple workstreams.
• Support experience with platform migrations, automation or digital transformation projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Visio, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Word.
• Understanding of automation technologies such as RPA and workflow automation.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and organizational design frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured discovery sessions with stakeholders to understand current processes, organizational structures and system dependencies.
• Lead operational analysis and diagnostic efforts to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
• Document current and future operating models, utilizing process mapping tools to visualize workflows.
• Serve as a continuous process partner, providing ongoing advisory support for operational excellence.
• Build trusted relationships with operational teams to support process improvements and best practice adoption.
• Perform gap analyses comparing existing capabilities with technological and organizational targets.
• Develop comprehensive reports, executive summaries, and strategic assessments for leadership review.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align transformation initiatives across business units.
• Design innovative future-state operating models that optimize structure, process flow, and resource allocation.
• Lead efforts to standardize processes and identify automation opportunities including RPA and digital tools.
• Support platform migrations and digital transformation projects through detailed requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and facilitate change management activities.
• Create process documentation, visual models and implementation roadmaps to support operational transitions.

An innovative Operations Specialist is sought to join our client's optimization and transformation team in a hybrid work environment. This role is critical in driving operational excellence by collaborating with various business units including operations, underwriting, sales and claims. The successful candidate will facilitate discovery sessions to analyze current processes, design future-state operating models and support strategic initiatives such as platform migrations, digital transformation and process automation. Additionally, this position involves ongoing partnership with field teams, offering continuous support for process innovation and optimization. The Operations Specialist acts as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, helps identify bottlenecks and champions best practices to improve daily operations. Pay Range:

The anticipated pay for this position is $55.00 per hour. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
