Job summary

MFS is seeking a Business Operations Analyst in Boston to support strategic initiatives in Operations and value stream mapping to optimize workflows. You will work with cross-functional teams, document requirements, create process maps, and develop dashboards to aid decision making.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 0–2 years of experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and process-mapping tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Operations Management, or related field.
• 0-2+ years' relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.
• Proficiency in visualizing process diagrams to support cross-functional understanding.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, etc.).
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or BPM methodologies.
• Basic familiarity with reporting or automation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Power Automate is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis of current business processes and workflows under guidance, helping identify gaps.
• Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Create process maps, workflows, technical requirements, and business documentation.
• Conduct data analysis and generate dashboards to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, and product owners.
• Coordinate logistics and documentation for meetings and workshops.
• Assist with coordinating and managing project timelines, deliverables and meetings.
• Manage administrative tasks related to Operations service provider and documentation.
• Track performance against key metrics for management reporting.
• Collaborate with teams to align on transformation goals and initiatives.
• Perform analyses and tasks under guidance of senior team members.
