Qualifications

• At least three years’ managerial experience supervising staff in a mission-driven org.
• Proven ability to improve operational systems and processes.
• Ability to manage complex multi-state operations with in-office and remote staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration with leaders and partners.
• Commitment to racial equity and inclusive workplace culture.
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve administrative systems related to contracting, hiring, payroll, and expense reporting.
• Lead operations team including HR, events, and membership database staff.
• Improve workflows and remove bottlenecks across multiple departments.
• Serve as in-office operations lead and coordinate with leadership on planning.
• Oversee purchasing, vendor relations, and building facilities management.
• Maintain safe, welcoming physical spaces and inclusive culture.
• Support grants administration and travel for governing bodies.
• Assist with audits, reimbursements, and project logistics.
• Ensure compliance across multi-state operations and tax rules.
