Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. is seeking an Operations Accountant (SGL15) for a hybrid role to support month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting for Summit and subsidiaries. The position may be based in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Maine.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, at least 3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with precision and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting required.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience required.
• Regulated utility accounting a plus.
• Proficiency in the use of Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and post standard and complex journal entries for month-end close.
• Prepare entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Perform trend analysis on accounts and identify variances.
• Assist with annual audit and respond to auditors’ questions.
