Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. invites you to join our team as an Operations Accountant (SGL15). This hybrid role supports month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting for Summit and subsidiaries, with placement flexibility across Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Maine.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting, at least 3 years of accounting experience, and strong Excel skills. GAAP knowledge and collaborative acumen are essential in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Excel is required.
• GAAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and complete journal entries for payroll and expenses.
• Close month-end with timely journal preparation.
• Perform trend analysis on assigned accounts.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Collaborate with State Ops and FP&A on coding and research.
• Assist in annual audit preparation and PBC schedules.
