Job summary

Accordion Partners is seeking an Associate for its Operational & Technical Accounting practice in the United States. This hybrid role can be based in Dallas or any US office and supports PE-backed clients with technical accounting, policy design, and the financial close.

You will work on complex engagements including cash-to-US GAAP conversions, consolidated reporting, ERP/process improvements, and revenue policy evolution for SaaS models.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting or operations at a top-tier public accounting or financial advisory firm, and/or private company.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP (exposure to IFRS is a plus) with ASC 606, lease accounting, and purchase accounting.
• Experience in technical accounting advisory, audit readiness, and controllership support.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong client service mindset and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform deep-dives to understand current state processes, people, and systems.
• Identify root causes and provide recommendations to close control gaps.
• Design and implement tools and processes to streamline the close process and financial reporting.
• Assist with cash-to-US GAAP conversion and timely preparation of financial statements and schedules.
• Contribute to the consolidation of financial reporting for multiple entities and ERP implementations.
