Accordion Partners seeks a Vice President (Manager) to lead Finance Transformation work for private equity portfolio companies, driving strategy, process improvements, and technology enablement. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in finance transformation, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and a deep understanding of end‑to‑end financial processes

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant client‑serving experience at a top‑tier accounting or advisory firm, or a mix of client service and private industry at a senior level.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead workstreams and manage client and internal teams.
• Strong knowledge of finance best practices for professionalizing the finance function.
• Generalist across or SME in order‑to‑cash, procure‑to‑pay, record‑to‑report, FP&A and related CFO functions.
• Experience enabling financial processes with automation and technology deployment.
• Experience in a private equity environment and understanding PE requirements.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; client service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Work with team members to serve CFO‑level clients in PE portfolio companies on finance strategy and process improvements.
• Diagnose finance function, assess people, process and technology, and develop a value‑creation roadmap.
• Design and support process enhancements across lead‑to‑cash, source‑to‑pay, record‑to‑report and FP&A.
• Design future state operating platforms including organization structure and finance tech stack.
• Develop implementation plans with quantified benefits and qualitative substantiation.
• Support technology optimization and automation initiatives within ERPs or bespoke tools/AI.
• Support Transformation Directors in governance over multi‑workstream programs.
• Coordinate change management across functions and workstreams.
• Measure ROI of improvements; identify risks and mitigate with client and internal teams.
• Bring financial expertise and leading practices to engagements.
• Manage transformation workstreams for a single client under Accordion leadership.
• Mentor junior resources (Associates/Analysts).
• Engage with client stakeholders at all levels and PE sponsors; support business development.
• Contribute to internal firm initiatives to enhance capabilities.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
