Job summary

McDonald’s is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to coordinate and strengthen new hire orientation and onboarding programs for employees and leaders in a hybrid role based in Daytona Beach, Florida. You will report to the HR Manager and partner with restaurant and operations leadership to track onboarding progress, support compliance, and help ensure training is delivered consistently across locations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a professional setting or a Bachelor’s degree.
• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace: Docs, Calendar, Sheets, Slides.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• QSR experience and HR experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Willingness to travel within a 50–60 mi radius.
• Bilingual communication preferred.
• Training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate new hire orientation programs in a compliant manner.
• Prepare, edit, and bind orientation documents and materials.
• Manage orientation schedule and track related expenses.
• Support consistent training across restaurants using McDonald’s systems.
• Ensure training completion and certifications where applicable.
• Follow up with new hires to resolve onboarding issues.
• Collaborate with leadership on training needs for new equipment or procedures.
• Mentor new employees through digital platforms and in-person sessions.
• Use KPIs and feedback to identify training gaps and improve onboarding processes.
• Serve as a primary training resource during onboarding.
• Support employee engagement and company culture during transitions.
• Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws.
