Job summary

RugsUSA is seeking an experienced Payroll and HR Operations professional in New York City. This hybrid role requires three days in the NYC office per week to manage multi-state payroll, benefits administration, and HR data integrity.

You will own Rippling configuration, payroll processing, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance, IT, and Operations. The ideal candidate has CPP/FPC/SHRM-CP or related certifications, strong payroll compliance experience, and a track record of reducing

Qualifications

• Experience managing multi-state payroll processing across corporate and distribution populations.
• Experience with payroll tax, wage & hour compliance, and benefits deductions.
• Proven ability to develop SOPs, training materials, and HR knowledge content.
• Experience implementing or optimizing HRIS/Payroll systems (Rippling preferred).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state populations across corporate and DC locations.
• Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local requirements and manage year-end tasks (W-2s).
• Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and Operations to optimize payroll workflows and data integrity.
• Administer benefits and 401(k) programs, including open enrollment support and reporting.
• Develop HR reports, dashboards, and documentation to support decision-making and audits.
