Job summary

The Trust for Public Land seeks an Institutional Giving Director in New York to elevate corporate and foundation giving. Lead a NY-based portfolio, build strong donor relationships, and translate program strategies into compelling donor narratives while collaborating across teams.

Ideal candidates will have extensive nonprofit fundraising experience, superb written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage complex proposals and budgets. Travel within the region is expected.

Qualifications

• A minimum of nine years of experience in nonprofit fundraising with proven targets.
• Ability to craft compelling written and verbal fundraising communications.
• Experience identifying and qualifying new prospects from cold outreach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 60-75 foundation and corporate prospects and donors, primarily in NY.
• Conduct 45-60+ meaningful donor engagements annually with at least 24 qualified prospects.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Marketing, Program and National teams on proposals and stewardship.
