Job summary

The State of Maine is hiring a GIS Coordinator to support NG9-1-1 GIS layers across the state. You will work with municipalities to keep road networks, addresses, and responder data current and accurate, and train staff on the online maintenance system and addressing procedures.

You will engage with state, county, and local partners to promote standards and data sharing. The role offers hybrid work with two days in Augusta and three remote days.

Qualifications

• 3-year combination of education, training, and/or experience directly related to operation, development, and/or maintenance of GIS systems.
• Knowledge of Esri products and GIS data management.
• Ability to communicate and organize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Updating road and address data using aerial imagery and GPS data.
• Quality Assurance/Quality Control of 9-1-1 GIS layers.
• Provide training on addressing procedures and GIS applications.
• Outreach to state, county, and municipal officials on GIS standards.
