Job summary
The Public Utilities Commission Emergency Services Communications Bureau in Maine is seeking a GIS Coordinator to maintain NG9-1-1 GIS layers and support the accurate location and routing of emergency calls. You will work with municipal and county Addressing Officers to keep roads and addresses current, perform QA/QC, and provide training on the online maintenance request system and addressing procedures.
This role offers hybrid work (remote three days per week and two days in Augusta),
Qualifications
- Three (3) year combination of education, training, and/or experience directly related to GIS operations, development, and/or maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Update road and address data using aerial imagery and GPS collection.
- Perform QA/QC on NG9-1-1 GIS layers.
- Consult with state, county, and municipal officials on standards for road naming and addressing.
- Provide GIS training for Addressing officers and for the online maintenance request system.
