Job summary

Hylant is seeking a Network Engineer to design, configure, and maintain our enterprise network and secure connectivity services across LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud platforms. The role supports acquisitions, office moves, and infrastructure projects with escalation management for incidents.

You will work in a hybrid Toledo-based environment, collaborating across IT teams to ensure uptime, security, and optimal performance for voice, Teams, and business-critical platforms.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience may substitute.
• Experience: 3+ years supporting LAN/WAN, wireless, routing, switching, firewalls, VPN.
• Technical Knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing and subnetting, routing, switching, wireless, VLANs, security, troubleshooting.
• Certifications: Network+ or CCNA preferred; similar hands-on experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor availability, performance, and capacity; troubleshoot network incidents.
• Configure routers, switches, wireless controllers, APs, IP addressing, DNS/DHCP, VLANs, 802.1X, QoS.
• Implement and maintain NGFW and VPN configurations; secure access policies.
• Support Azure and cloud connectivity; private peering; zero-trust concepts.
• Deliver network work for offices, moves, and acquisitions; post-cutover validation.
• Follow change control; maintain diagrams, runbooks, inventories; assist audits.
