Job summary

Hylant, a leading risk management and insurance broker, is seeking a Network Engineer to design, configure, and maintain our enterprise network across LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, and secure access services. The role supports hybrid work from the Toledo, OH office to keep our offices reliably connected and secure.

You will monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, coordinate with teams for acquisitions, and participate in change management while building clear diagrams and runbooks to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years supporting LAN/WAN, wireless, routing, switches, firewalls, VPN.
• Strong TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing and subnetting knowledge.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Zscaler, Cisco Meraki, SD-WAN, Azure networking preferred.
• Able to work in Toledo, OH in a hybrid capacity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor availability, performance, and capacity; troubleshoot and resolve network incidents; analyze trends and improvements.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, wireless controllers/APs; manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, 802.1X/NAC, QoS.
• Implement and maintain secure firewall/VPN configurations and secure access policies; support lifecycle planning.
• Support connectivity between offices, Azure, and cloud/SaaS platforms; private connectivity and peering; zero trust concepts.
• Deliver network work for new offices, moves, and acquisitions; coordinate circuit changes and post-cutover validation.
• Follow change control practices; maintain diagrams, inventories, and runbooks; support audits and client security questionnaires.
• Provide second/third-level support and knowledge sharing across IT.
