Job summary

Iridium seeks a Network Engineer II to join the Network Infrastructure team to Maintain data center networking, troubleshoot and optimize the Mission, Commercial, and Enterprise networks.

The role requires 2+ years with LAN/WAN devices (Cisco/ Fortinet) and routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP). You’ll work in a fast-paced environment with on-call duties and a hybrid schedule in the Chandler area.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and common protocols (Spanning-Tree, VRF, VTP, VSS).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to convey technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data center networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls) including Cisco Catalyst/Nexus platforms and Fortigate devices.
• Provide real-time troubleshooting and independent problem resolution; present analysis to team.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot networking and security hardware and OSs.
• Research new network products, protocols, and standards to stay current.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation (diagrams, procedures).
• Provide 24/7 on-call assistance as needed.
