Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Network Engineer for an on-site Fort Worth position. You will independently support enterprise LAN/WAN, cloud connectivity, and hybrid interconnects, while implementing changes to switches, routers, and firewalls.

You will help manage VPNs, SD-WAN, and cloud networking services, ensuring governance and security compliance. The role requires 3+ years in network engineering, strong documentation, and the ability to work across multiple domains with on-call readiness

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years in network engineering, connectivity operations, or enterprise infra support.
Experience with LAN/WAN, office networking, and wireless environments.
Strong routing, switching, VLANs, WAN, VPNs, and firewall administration.
Ability to troubleshoot across multiple domains and dependencies.
Familiarity with change, incident management and governance.

Responsibilities

Independently support enterprise connectivity services across office LAN/WAN and cloud edges.
Troubleshoot complex network incidents involving routing, VPN, wireless, circuits, and firewall policy.
Implement approved changes to switches, routers, firewalls, SD-WAN, and cloud components.
Support connectivity between office environments, private cloud, datacenters, and public cloud services.
Assist with public cloud networking services and hybrid interconnects.
Participate in lifecycle activities including hardware refresh and code upgrades.
Ensure changes comply with governance, security standards, and change control.
Create and maintain technical documentation and diagrams.
Provide guidance to Connectivity Engineer I team members.
Participate in on-call support and operational readiness activities.
